Construction Plan - DIY Modulsystem
Simply the best solution you can get.
For all those who want the best possible solution without compromises and are willing to take on a bit more effort during construction.
Aquaculture:
- large (1.6 m³) fish tank
- Fingerling rearing tank with drop-in nets
- Solids filter using a brush filter with an additional fine filter
- Moving Bed Bio-Filter
- optional Trickling Filter for superior water quality
- powered by extremly efficient Airlift
- easily scalable thanks to its modular design
- highest level of operational reliability
Hydroculture:
- MediaBed (Wicking Bed with optimized water inlet)
- Deep Water Culture (with an aeration system designed for virtually maintenance-free operation )
The fully insulated fish modul allows for an early start and extended operation in the greenhouse, even in colder regions, without the need for a expensive heating system.

Purchasing the construction manual grants you the right to build the system for personal use only. Sharing these documents with third parties is prohibited. Each plan is signed and can be clearly traced back to the buyer. Any unauthorized publication will result in legal claims for damages.
Detailed Description
Here, you’ll find answers to any questions you might have about the system.
Absolutely the best solution you can build
The best system on the market - cannot get better.
A very clever design with precise calculations ensures that the structural integrity is perfectly optimized. Many clever tricks ensure that everything is completely watertight.
- extremly compact
- big fish tank
- fully isolated (easy to heat)
- absolutely failsafe operation
- minimal operation effort
- very high water quality

The woodworking is straightforward, as the plan includes a detailed cutting list. If you hand this in at a hardware store, you will receive all the wooden panels cut exactly to size and will only need to screw them together.
For sealing, you will need to work with epoxy resin. While it’s not rocket science, it does require skill as well as thorough and meticulous work. We have developed a detailed system with many tips and tricks to ensure the sealing works reliably and is relatively easy to do.
If you’re not a DIY enthusiast, we recommend the 3-IBC plan.
What is included in the construction plan?
A fully illustrated step-by-step manual with clear, detailed assembly instructions.
In English and German Language.
Covers both the aquaculture and the connected hydroponics system, along with their integration. The hydroponics setup can be easily adapted to your available space using the guide.
A detailed parts list with precise specifications, plus sourcing information for many different countries.
How much time is required to set it up?
With two people, the setup takes around 3–4 days. It can, however, also be assembled solo without help.
How much time is required to operate the system?
On average, you’ll need to clean the solid filter once a week (less often in the beginning, more often towards the end), which takes about 30 minutes.
Apart from that, feeding the fish twice a day only takes about a minute — and it’s usually quite fun.
How much time you spend caring for the vegetables depends on what you’re growing, but in summer 30 minutes per weeks at least should be planned for.
