The fully integrated system consists of
- Fish tank with an innovative drainage system designed for baby fish
- Solid-Filter complemented by an additional fine filter
- Bio-Filter featuring a robust aeration system
- Air-Lift pump for efficient water circulation
- Drainage system for easy cleaning
The system is constructed from insulating panels
and is very simple to build.
You will receive a 37-page, detailed step-by-step assembly guide with many illustrative images. An exact cutting plan helps you minimize material waste. The included parts list contains all necessary components, along with the sources where you can get the right materials at the best prices.
The system is designed to allow the reuse of both the air pump and filter material from your grow-out system, eliminating the need to purchase these components again.
Specifications:
- Size: 125cm x 70cm x 75cm (L x W x H)
- Assembly time: approx. 2 days for one person
- Material cost: approx. €325.73 (as of 10/2024)
Optimally sized to grow your baby fish for app. 2 months while it's still too cold, before transferring them to the IBC grow-out tank.

Why buy the building plan instead of trying to DIY?
- Perfected through Prototypes: We have built and optimized this system multiple times until we found the optimal solution. Even small deviations can lead to significant issues—attempted copies often result in inferior outcomes.
- Optimal Materials: We have also tested various materials (such as different adhesives and resins) to find the best materials. Using the wrong adhesives or coatings can cause the system to fail under water conditions or release toxins.
- Save on Purchases: Our parts list ensures you buy from the cheapest sources. Buying elsewhere can quickly become more expensive.
- Save Time: Precise measurements and a detailed cutting list save you hours of research.
We truly believe that this system solves one of the greatest challenges faced by aquaponics enthusiasts in colder climates. We’re happy to share our expertise with the community, and the plan is priced to offer overall savings compared to trial-and-error attempts.
